About Robert Lockwood
Robert Lockwood is the founder of Lockwood & Associates in Huntsville, Alabama. For more than 25 years, Robert has guided businesses and governmental entities through their legal issues with a focus on employment law. He is a former law clerk to United States District Court Judge C. Lynwood Smith, Jr. Robert’s experience with Judge Smith, as well as his extensive private practice, benefits his clients across Alabama.
Outside the practice of law, Robert is involved both professionally and civically. He is a member of the Alabama Board of Bar Examiners, a Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation, a former member of the Alabama Access to Justice Commission and a graduate of the Alabama State Bar’s Leadership Forum. He is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel where he is a past-Chair of the Employment Practices and Workplace Liability Section.
Robert is a former President of the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association and the Board of the Madison County Volunteer Lawyer Program. He is a graduate of Leadership Huntsville/Madison County Class 24, and is the Past-President of the Huntsville Rotary Club. Robert and his wife, Julie, attend Huntsville First United Methodist Church, where he served on the Board of Trustees. They have two sons, Carter and Richard.
